Sabre Dance are an alt rock/indie band from London, led by siblings Phoebe and Conor McFarlane. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Nothing But Thieves, Everything Everything and Jeff Buckley, Phoebe's pure vocal tone contrasts with heavy guitar riffs, and a combination of anthemic choruses and unexpected time signatures creates a fresh take on modern rock.
All classically trained, the band's name is taken from a ballet by the Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian. Recent gigs include supprting Toploader at O2 Academy Islington and their EP launch at The Water Rats in King's Cross. Their singles have been played on Radio X by John Kennedy.
